❤️STORIES FROM OUR VETERAN DENTAL CARE EVENT!💙

We were honored to offer a FREE veteran dental clinic on Veterans Day (11/12) this year at our Springfield, Missouri dentist clinic. We had such a great turn out for this event! It was an honor to get to know some of our local veterans and even more interesting to hear their stories! We thought it would be a great chance to share some of these stories from our local veterans with you. Take a look below to learn about just a few of the remarkable people our Access Dental & Dental staff were blessed to meet during our veterans event.

Meet Mr. Robert. He is a Marine that served from '74 to '81. He states he joined "for an adventure" He worked on helicopters and went to school so he could teach others to do it also. He had 2 other brothers that were also Marines. One in Vietnam, one stationed in Japan. He is originally from the Ozarks. He learned about us from his daughter via Facebook.

Mr. Robert

This man is amazing. Proud to serve Mr. Good. Heavy Equipment Operator US Army. Two duties - first Iraq and second to Afghanistan which he was wounded. His unit was attacked by an improvised explosive device.
He served from June 2006 two weeks after he graduated HS to Dec 2012 -4 months after his injury.
The one thing he will never forget is when his unit got home his commander announced welcome home 94th Engineers and a curtain raised for him to see everyone's family friends and to hear the cheers. He said he would never forget that moment.

Mr. Good

Please meet Henry. Henry served 8 hrs in the Air Force in Germany and Japan. He was involved with work on the Space Shuttle. That is so cool!

Meet Tom. He is an Army vet that was drafted for Vietnam. He learned about us from the American Legion post 639.

Tom

This is Ron. He was in the Navy for 2 yrs in N Vietnam and ended up trapped 90 miles behind DMZ lines. He was shot in the stomach by a 50 cal and was proud to show that scar.
Robert served from '62 to '68 in the Army National Guard and was mostly stateside. He was part of the invasion during the Missile Crisis of Cuba.

This is Marvin. He served 7.5 years in the Air Force in Vietnam, Thailand and was also assigned Presidential duty on AirForce 1 under Nixon, Ford and Carter.

Now that you've heard some of these stories - you get a glimpse of the kind of greatness we saw on November 12th at our veterans dental care event. Our southern Missouri dentist had the great pleasure of helping some local veterans with their oral care near Springfield, MO earlier this week. Let's all take a moment to honor those who've given so much for our great country and our freedoms! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!
